Hi! I’m Erica. I’m a designer and aritst based in San Francisco. I make vision, program, and engagement strategies that connect people around art, place, food, and futurism. This work takes the form of brand strategy, nonprofit leadership, program development, visual design, participatory design process, and facilitation and I usually work with small businesses, nonprofits, cultural centers, and social good initiatives.
My background: I spent the first 9 years of my career building transformational experiences in grassroots arts environments starting when I founded a DIY art and community space in college. For the past four years I’ve been directing communication, engagement, and strategy initiatives at CounterPulse, a queer performance incubator and community space in San Francisco. In my tenure at CounterPulse we purchased and renovated a permanent , state-of-the-art facility in the Tenderloin and I led the development of the Public Art program in our new neighborhood.
Currently inspired by: feminist art, the slow movement, somatic practice, adrienne marie brown’s Emergent Strategy, my grandmothers, creative restraint and routine (Morning Pages, 100 Day Project, etc)
Good design is: getting physical, slowing down, simple solutions, lowbrow utopias, presence, made by weirdos and rule breakers, still not jaded
